Hi it is Omi, What a great challenge to put out there. I must say some great NEW ideas, which I want to take a look into. As far as what we do already. One is that here in Chatham, NJ we have been recycling since about 1980, curbside since 1990 it is really a part of my life.
Our Whole Food gives back $.05 for each bag we bring in for our groceries. I am still trying to make this a more regular thing. I only remember 50% of the time.
Organic food has been a part of our life for several years now. In the past year I have found a wonderful source for raw milk and farm eggs and many other organic farm fresh items. It is great to have REAL MILK! If you would like to learn more go to www.realmilk.com
Another good item to have in the house is a setback thermastat for both daytime when no one is home and at night.
Kelly, Thanks so much for stopping by my photo page a few days ago. I love your photos! I'm happy to find your blog because I'm a mother as well (to one 20 month old) and also an aspiring writer. I have been trying to find more aspiring-writer blogs to connect with. I will look forward to coming back here.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Steve, stay-at-home-mom of three amazing children, a former special education teacher and an aspiring writer and photographer. I enjoy blogging about all kinds of topics, but especially about my family, my random thoughts on this crazy thing called life, my desire to write as a career and the journey to reach that goal.
A week after my mom passed away in August 2005, I saw a hummingbird land on the clothesline behind our house just a few feet from me while I was looking out the back door. Since then, hummingbirds have always reminded me of my mom. You'll see regular references to my mom in my writing. She was my best friend and an amazing mother and Grammy.
